Houston Civic Symphony announces programming for the 2010-11 season.

Exact concert dates will be set at a later date.

October 2010 Concert:

Programming under development.


November 2010:

Liszt, Les Preludes
Hindemith, Symphonic Metamorphosis of Themes by Weber
Beethoven, Symphony No. 8 , Op. 93, F Major

This concert will honor Dr. Robert Linder, conductor of Civic Symphony for 20 years. He will conduct the Liszt.

January 2011:

J.S. Bach, Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D Major
Concerto, winner of Civic Symphony Member competition
Stravinsky, L'Oiseau de Feu (The Firebird Suite), 1919 Version

March 2011 (Young Artist Concert):

Bernstein, Overture to Candide
Young Artist winners

April 2011:

Mozart, Cosi fan Tutte: Overture
Brahms, Ein deutsches Requiem, Op. 45 (with the HBU combined chorus)

Moody Gardens has announced the ticket arrangements for Civic Symphony's November 22 concert.  A "combo" ticket for both the concert and "The Forgotten Gateway" immigration exhibit will be sold for $15.95.  The exhibit admission will be good for Sunday, November 22.

Tickets are now available on the Moody Gardens website.  Click here then select the concert and exhibit link at the bottom of the page to purchase tickets.

The exhibit will open at 10 a.m. on Sunday, so there will be time to tour the exhibit before the 3 p.m. concert.
